NTA is involved in various advocacy and legal activities, in order to promote changes in the relationship between religion and state in Israel.

NTA is the only organization in Israel that has dealt in a comprehensive way with the issues regarding the relationship between religion and state, and is promoting a detailed proposal for change.

 NTA is working to develop an independent Beit Din (rabbinical court) that will be inclusive and Halachically tolerant in dealing with the challenges of conversion and personal status; NTA is involved in coalitions fighting for the rights of Agunot; developing an inclusive Orthodox burial; and providing an Orthodox voice in the development of vibrant Jewish rituals.
