Does Modern Orthodoxy Have a Future?

It is undeniable that Modern Orthodoxy has changed since the early days of Torah Va'Avodah. But is it developing in a planned, desirable way? Do we need to intervene and change course? Is it fair to intercede or should we allow natural evolution to run its course?

Join us on Thursday Chol HaMoed Pessach, April 1st at the Begin Center in Jerusalem to weigh in on these questions.

This event, organized jointly by Ne'emanei Torah Va'Avodah and The Jewish Institute for Ideas and Ideals, will host a spectrum of organizations and personalities. Rabbi David Bigman, Rabbi Yehuda Gilad , Rebbetzin Chana Henkin, Rabbi Dr. Shaul Farber, Rabbi Prof. Daniel Sperber, Rabbi Yuval Cherlow - and you - will deliberate how Modern Orthodoxy can gain even greater influence as part of the Jewish voice both in Israel and abroad. Other influential members of HaKibbutz HaDati, Merkaz Herzog, Yeshivat Maale Gilboa, Memizrach Hashemesh, and Kollech will also share their opinions, visions, and hopes for the future.

While you digest your new insights into the future of Modern Orthodoxy, treat yourself to some of Israel's finest gourmet foods and wines; meditate or activate yourself with one of the workshops; join a sidebar on sustainability or Jewish perspectives on social media. Most importantly, construct your own program to ensure yourself an utterly enjoyable and enriching morning.

We will start the day off on the right foot at 8am with a festive Shacharit led by Yehuda Solomon of the Moshav band. The conference will end at 1pm, leaving enough time for you to enjoy the beautiful spring weather during Chag Ha'aviv.

A symbolic entrance fee of 30 shekel will be collected upon registration. Limited room available (last conference was sold out in 3 days!).
